The Project has been awarded to Bhilwara Energy Limited as Build Operate Transfer basis for the period of 40 years with pre agreement, Bhilwara Energy Limited will also provide supply of power 12% of the generated power to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for the designated period and 1% free power shall be provided for the benefit of Local Area People. Pursuant to the terms of the agreement Bhilwara Energy Limited has formed special purpose vehicle in the name of Nyamjang Chhu Hydro Power Limited with its registered office at with prior approval of State Government to undertake the project development activities.

Central Electricity Authority Government of India has accorded the Technical Economic Clearance to the Project for an installed capacity of 780 MW with the estimated cost of Rs 6229 crores.

Since the allotment of the project the Company has been ablve to obtained the clearance from a Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India. Expert Appraisal Committee on River Valley Projects of MoEF Government of India has cleared the project from Environmental Angle. Forest Advisory Committee of MoEF Government of India has also accorded the in principal Forest Clearance to the Project. In addition to this land Management Department, Department of Forest & Environment, State Revenue Department Government of Arunachal Pradesh has also accorded their NOC to the Project.
